LGED–CReLIC Holds Inception Workshop on Lesson Learned and Best Practices Video Documentation

An inception workshop on the development of lesson learned and best practices video documentation organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) being implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was held on Thursday 23 April at the seminar room of the LGED Headquarters.

The workshop was chaired by Mr. Md. Azharul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of CReLIC. Mr. Md. Belal Hossain, Chief Engineer of LGED, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his address he emphasized that this initiative will not merely produce a set of videos or printed materials; rather it will create a structured knowledge-based repository that can serve as a replicable model for future LGED projects. He further noted that the documentaries and factsheets will be valuable references for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

During the workshop, representatives from the assigned consulting firm Aroni Advertising Ltd. presented their approach through a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation was delivered by Team Leader Mr. Pankaj Palit, Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam and Assistant Manager (Client Service) Nafis Mohammad.

Among others present at the workshop were Additional Chief Engineers Ms. Syeda Asma Khatun, Kazi Saiful Kabir and Md. Wahiduzzaman, former Additional Chief Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib, Superintending Engineers Md. Anisul Wahab Khan and Md. Akhter Hossain along with Project Directors, Executive Engineers, Senior Assistant Engineers from various projects. Also present were CRIMP–CReLIC Project Director Mr. Md. Abdul Khalek, Executive Engineers Md. Latif Hossain and Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul and CReLIC expert consultants Md. Abdul Noor, Md. Shahidul Islam, Md. Sadekur Rahman Bhuiya, Md. Masudur Rahman and Syed Mahbub Ahsan.
