The progress review mission of the German Development Bank (KfW) on the activities of the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming (CRIMP) Project of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) and its affiliated Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) was successfully completed from 22 to 27 November.
The mission was led by KfW Portfolio Manager Johannes Hengst, accompanied by Technical Expert Peter Rooney and Portfolio Coordinator (Urban Development) S.K. Touhidur Rahman. From 22–24 November the team visited Satkhira district to inspect ongoing development activities. On 25 November the Progress Review Mission held discussions with LGED Chief Engineer Javed Karim regarding CRIMP–CReLIC operations.
On 26 November the mission also held meetings with the Local Government Division (LGD), the Economic Relations Division (ERD) and the German development agency GIZ to review CReLIC’s activities and future prospects.
On 27 November, the mission concluded with an exchange meeting with LGED officials and consultants to discuss CReLIC’s progress, upcoming tasks and future plans. Md. Shahanur, Additional Chief Engineer (Urban Management) and Acting Director of CReLIC was present. LGED was represented by Md. Abdul Khalek, Project Director of CRIMP, Md. Latif Hossain Executive Engineer of CReLIC, Fatema Ismat Ara Senior Assistant Engineer, Arpon Pal and Afifa Sultana Pritul Assistant Engineer and relevant consultants.
