GCA Delegation visit CReLIC Activities at LGED

February 19, 2026 A delegation from the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) visited the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) activities at the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).

The delegation was led by Dr. M. Feisal Rahman. Other distinguished members of the team included Professor Dr. Sharmind Neelormi and Environmental Specialist Dr. Ahsan Uddin Ahmed. S. K. Tauhidur Rahman Portfolio Coordinator of the development partner organization KfW also accompanied the delegation during the visit.

The primary objective of the visit was to observe and evaluate the ongoing climate-resilient infrastructure initiatives managed by CReLIC. During the visit the delegation expressed deep interest in the center's specialized activities and its role in sustainable development.

In a formal meeting, Md. Abdul Khaleque Project Director of CRIMP and CRILIC, and Md. Latif Hossain, Executive Engineer of CReLIC presented comprehensive data and highlighted various technical aspects of their ongoing projects.

The session was attended by several officials and experts including: Md. Wahiduzzaman Additional Chief Engineer and Director CReLIC, Fatema Ismat Ara Senior Assistant Engineer, Arpan Paul Assistant Engineer and Specialized consultants of CRILIC.

The GCA delegation praised the efforts of LGED and CReLIC in addressing climate change challenges through engineering innovation and data-driven strategies.
