
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between
CReLIC and CEGIS
On Wednesday, June 9, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) and the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) established under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
Through the signing of this MoU, CReLIC and CEGIS agreed to exchange climate change related data, knowledge and experiences as well as to develop and implement joint researches. CReLIC and CEGIS will collaborate in development of climate resilient local infrastructures and as a result facilitate the implementation of the Perspective Plan (2021-2041) and the Delta Plan 2100.
Mr. AKM Luthfur Rahman, Director (Additional Chief Engineer) of CReLIC, LGED and Mr. Motaleb Hossain Sarkar, Director of CEGIS signed the MoU. Mr. Shihab Monjur, Research Associate, CEGIS was present on behalf of CEGIS, and Project Director Mr. Jasim Uddin, Executive Engineer Mr. Md. Safiqul Islam, Senior Assistant Engineer Ms. Nazreen Zaman, Senior Assistant Engineer Ms. Fatema Ismat Ara, CReLIC International Consultant Dr. Daan Boom, National Deputy Team Leader Mr. Golam Kibria, Climate Change Specialist Mr. Faruque Biswas, Training Specialist Mr. Banda Hafiz, Civil Engineering (Water) Specialist Dr. Lutfor Rahman, Public Relations and Marketing Specialist Syed Mahbub Ahsan and Management Specialist Mr. Mahmood Reaz were present on behalf of CReLIC, LGED.
